ABSTRACT
The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into IT organizations has reshaped workplace dynamics, requiring employees to adjust both technically and psychologically. This study explores the main factors influencing employees’ psychological adaptation to AI systems in IT environments. Drawing on technology acceptance, organizational behavior, and cognitive psychology, it develops a conceptual model based on perceived usefulness, trust in AI, psychological readiness, perceived job security, and organizational support. The study uses an integrative narrative review of recent literature on AI adoption and employee adaptation. It is not a systematic review or meta-analysis and does not follow PRISMA 2020 procedures, such as protocol registration, exhaustive search documentation, or formal quality scoring. The reviewed literature suggests that trust in AI and organizational support are among the most important factors supporting successful adaptation, while psychological readiness and perceived usefulness also contribute to positive outcomes. Perceived job security is proposed as a moderating factor that may influence these relationships when employees view AI as a threat to employment stability. The model offers practical guidance for IT managers and HR professionals seeking to reduce resistance, uncertainty, and workplace stress during AI implementation. It also provides testable propositions for future longitudinal, cross-cultural, and industry-specific research.
